When Black Meets Red!

Hello fashionistas,

I found that as I get older my style has evolved into a more polished, classy, and sophisticated look to met my age and my body.  I know what works for me and what doesn’t and that probably comes from my evolving style! I don’t usually wear red and I haven’t owned any red items in my wardrobe until I bought this beautiful red skirt. I tend to wear light pastel tones like grey, nude, brown, and black-white. I came across this red skirt when I was looking for something special to wear at an Andrea Bocelli concert that I am going to see soon with my boyfriend. I thought this skirt would be a statement piece and I would feel like a princess.

Indeed, once I received the garment I opened the package just like a little girl and I couldn’t wait to try it on. Soon after I tried it on, I started to twirl around the house and dance. I felt girly, feminine and so beautiful in it.  I didn’t really think how  I would style it, let alone plan other outfits with it. Most of the time when shopping, I usually know the moment I purchase the garment how I would wear it and have the outfits that I would wear with in my head already. This time I wasn’t mentally prepared, I don’t wear red. Yes, I am crazy like that.

I paired this gorgeous skirt with a fishnet sweater from Club Monaco, and Louboutin, So Kate stilettos. Since it was a bit chilly, I wore a leather jacket that I have worn in the past, Winter Veil Beanie & Layers  which matched perfect for this look.  I would pair it with a striped top and sandals to go to the concert. Red and stripe combo is classic, it will never go out of style.
