When it comes to my style, I love mixing high-end and low-end together. I like to splurge more in timeless pieces that I can wear for a long time. Usually, I buy shoes, coats or bags. It feels special to me when I wear a pair of beautiful designer shoes with any outfit.
However, luxury pieces do come with a high price tag, but in the end, they are all worth it. Timeless pieces last you for a long time if you pick the right one. The best time to shop your favourite essential luxury pieces is Black Friday!
With the Black Friday just around the corner, I wanted to share with you my Black Friday wishlist with FarFetch one the luxury shopping site I discovered when I started blogging.
Designer bags are investment pieces that you can re-sell down the road if feel you no longer like them or you want to exchange. The value of a designer bag is still high even if you use it for a long time. I purchased this Staud bag that you have probably have seen on my IG feed. I love the retro & vintage feel and the fact that I can wear it all season.
The first bag that I been eyeing for so long is the black collège leather shoulder YSL bag. It’s a classic bag and perfect for any season. Worth the splurge. Second, Chloé’s Small Nile bracelet bag that conveys the signature Parisian charm that the brand is known for, the brown colour it’s my favourite of the collection.
I don’t splurge enough money on designer clothes, but I want a few pieces that I am considering to add to my wardrobe now that I am much older. I believe that every grown-up woman should own a stylish, high-quality blazer. I’ve been lusting over a Balmain double-breasted wool blazer since they came out. Actually, I wanted to grab one from the H&M collaboration they had a couple years ago but it sold out. Since I love wearing sweaters and cream colours my second piece to add to my wish list would be a Chunky sweater from Alexander Mcqueen. It would never go out of style and is perfect for those chilly days.
If you follow me on Instagram you should know by now that I am a shoe addict. “I like the money where I can see it, right in my closet – Carrie Bradshaw” – What I tell myself everytime I splurge on a pair of shoes. My list would be long so I will only add two pairs that I been dying to buy. First, a pair of white, black and gold metallic Versace Studded buckle strap leather pumps. I’m not a fan of Versace but this shoes I NEED. Second, a pair of Red Patent Remi mules from SIES MARJAN. Love the design and the fact that they are red is so unique.
My recommendation on building a capsule wardrobe is always investing in essential core basics that you would wear on repeat all year around. These are the pieces that you’ll be rotating throughout your wardrobe in so many different ways. My tips to make your shopping experience easier, create an account on FarFetch and prepare a shopping Black Friday wishlist in advance. Once your favourite item is on your saved items, you can easily see if the price is reduced. That way you won’t be distracted, and you can check it as often as you like. Happy shopping! Aurela
