How to take an outfit from day to night

There are plenty of ways to update your outfit by adding or switching only one item only. You can change your accessories, your shoes or just your lipstick will do. Today in this post I wanted to show you how I altered this look from day to night. I received this long satin jacket from Judith & Charles. Love it; it is a versatile and classy piece. Most of the time people think I do have a lot of clothes, although now that I am a blogger I have more than before I do not keep all of them. I re-sell or donate the majority of clothes every six months. I only keep the pieces I wear on repeat and that I can mix and match from day to night. Beside my gowns and a couple of formal tuxedo suits that I can’t wear during the day, pretty much whatever I have in my closet I wear from day to night.

Day Look

Lately, I have been obsessing with the chunky sneaker trend. They are so comfy to walk miles and make you look stylish. During the day I don’t wear heels unless I have a meeting to go to I pretty much wear loafers or sneakers.

Night Time Look

To make your everyday attire work for the evening, all you need is a pair of heels, a statement jewelry piece or merely change your tote bag to a small evening bag. Since I am petite, I don’t wear big bags even during the day. The only thing I change from day to night is my shoes and maybe my lipstick. Like in this outfit, I kept everything the same but changed my shoes. I am wearing the items I wore for the daytime look, but the Dior shoes changed the look. Any daytime style will immediately be elevated with a beautiful pair of heels.

Also, I wore the same jacket as a dress for a date night with my husband last weekend. You might have seen it on my IG.

Wish you all a fabulous weekend. Aurela x
