Too Glam to Give a damn

The best part of being a fashion blogger is discovering designers that are Unique and talented. Last year I had the pleasure to meet one of the local designers in Vancouver – Joanne Ricci Fashion Designer. Not only she is talented but also a sweetheart. Note this blog it’s not sponsored. I am posting this blog because I wanted to showcase one of her jackets that I LOVE. I spotted this jacket in her IG feed in black, and it was love at first sight. Immediately I reached out to her and asked if she had the same one in nude. The bell sleeve detail is just stunning and looks even better in person.

I posted a video on my IG feed, the first video I have ever made, and I felt like a movie star.

ELEGANCE

Note she is a startup designer who shares a passion for fashion and is producing her garment in Vancouver on the order base. I asked her if she could make me the same jacket but in NUDE and she delivered what I asked. The nude colour feels lux and so glam, not to mention that it is one of my favourite shades.

The min I received the jacket I had many looks in my head that I wanted to try. I decided to go for a monochrome look since the day I wore the outfit it was beautiful sunny weather. I paired the jacket with my favourite trousers from SUISTUDIOGucci heels, and my favourite coat from W Concept website.  To add more glam, I added pearl earrings and a nude mini bag from Cafune’

VERSATILITY

Same jacket different look. The designer aims to make timeless pieces that you can wear in different ways. Another reason why I love this jacket a lot. When that garment goes into your closet, you want to wear it for years to come in many different ways.

I love having a unique style, because, without fashion and diversity, we’d all look the same. As much as I love the timeless, elegant style, I appreciate anything that’s out of the norm. I’d rather be fashionable than boring or wannabe or copycat period. I put my classic twist to any trends I like, just as I did for the second look. I love fashion and when I dress up is my playground.

“Aurela” jacket she named it after me, is available in cream and black, made to order. I’m honoured to have a garment called in my name! Check her fabulous collection online and on her Joanne Ricci Fashion Designer INSTAGRAM feed. Please tell me which look you like the best 🙂

  1. The Aurela jacket is one of a kind piece! I love the nude colour too; it’s glamorous, classy and easy to wear. Yes you’re right; you can wear this jacket in different ways. I loved how you wore it with jeans and I can’t wait to see how you are going to wear it next. I loved the most the total look as it’s showing in your video. You definitely look like a movie star, but above all you looked like Aurela the authentic one, a woman with class, elegance and confidence! I wanted to congratulate the designer Joanne Ricci for her excellent work on this jacket and look forward to more unique pieces from her!
