Transition weather dressing is tough, especially in Vancouver. I’ve embraced the light coat as my go to layering piece because it’s perfect to wear on chillier days, as it was yesterday. We have been having really nice weather, so i can’t complain, but I felt a bit colder yesterday on my way to a lunch meeting. Jeans have always been part of my wardrobe and i I love them, they are so versatile. Jeans work well with high end fashion pieces and with everyday wear. Normally I choose to wear boyfriend jeans with sandals, but I felt it was a bit too cold to have bare feet. I am not much of cold weather person.
To me jeans are a must have specially when you don’t want to be overdressed but still be fashionable. I purchased these jeans at a local boutique in Vancouver and I am literally obsessed with them. I’ve worn them many times, from grocery shopping to a night out with my girlfriend. I’ve been afraid to wear distressed boyfriend jeans because I am petite and always thought they would only look good for taller girls. Turns out these jeans are perfect for my height, you can lengthen or shorten them by rolling them up. That depends on the shoes you decide to wear. I bought them a size bigger to achieve a looser feel.
I decided to pair them with a simple tee and layer it with my favorite grey coat that I purchased last year at She-In website and wore on (previous post). Must admit I was a bit apprehensive as it was way cheaper than what I would normally pay for a coat. I wasn’t sure if the quality would be great but it turn out to be a great buy. It looks more expensive then really is and it’s the right length to wear for a casual and classier look. Glad I took the plunge and made the purchase. Also I spotted this bag at Aldo and I fell in love with it. Its a beautiful bag, feels so glamourous if you pair it with a night look but edgy for day time look.
Last week I wore the same outfit for a dinner outing with my boyfriend but instead of these shoes I wore them with my sandals since it was a warm night. Yesterday I went for my favorite pumps, I couldn’t wait much longer to wear them. Aren’t they gorge?
Jeans for me are a comfortable piece that I transit from lunch to dinner party. Do you like wearing jeans dressed up or just for running errands?
