The Power Of Monochrome and Neutrals

If you are wondering how you can master sophisticated dressing, I have the answer for you. Go full monochrome! Experiment with textures and shades that look good on you. A lot of women underestimate the power of monochrome and neutrals.

Monochrome looks are my go-to when I have a hard time deciding what to wear. We all have those moments, and for me, full monochrome looks work every time. The tricks on how to master the monochrome looks are wearing the same colour. Work with textures and accessories. Nothing adds more creativity than combining more than one texture in a look. Even if you are on a budget wearing monochrome looks would give the impression that your pieces are expensive. Both affordable and luxury items can create these monochromatic looks.

Yesterday in Vancouver, while walking on the street, a lady approached me, complimenting my look and telling me that she wishes she had a budget to dress like me. You see, she thought I was dressed in the designer pieces, although my entire look minus the shoes cost me less than $100 bucks. IWhen I told her that everything I was wearing was from the high street stores, she couldn’t believe me. Don’t get me wrong I would love to dress in the designer piece, but the reality is that I spent all my money on buying shoes.

To compensate for my shoe addiction, I always browse online for pieces that look more expensive than they really are. The best shades to achieve the luxurious and sophisticated looks are naturals. The best stores to shop for me are Mango, Zara, Massimo Dutti and COS. Also, I shop mostly online to get my hands in the newest stuff. All have a great return policy if you aren’t happy or don’t fit! I am wearing an old skirt from Mango, a new top for Zara and Bottega shoes.

Spread the love
