Last summer look – Stripes and Red!

Currently at the beach house with my love melting in the heat,  as I am trying to blog. I can’t believe it’s one of the hottest weekends we have had for this summer season. I was so busy at work last week and wasn’t able to post this look earlier. My apologizes but as I promised I had to blog this look since it’s one of my favourite outfits.

Recently, I have posted on my IG a few of colourful outfits and was amazed with the reaction I received. To be honest, I don’t wear many colours, I usually stay neutral for all the seasons.  Since it’s still the last summer days, I  tried to add some colour to my everyday looks. It’s very hard for me to get used to wearing colours but for the summer season it’s easy.

I’ve bought this red skirt before I started blogging. The reason I bought it back then was because of one of my favourite bloggers wore a similar skirt, which  made me search the entire night for a cheaper version. She wore a Tibi skirt, and since it was out of my price range, I came across this affordable version on Chic Wish.

My love asked me to go for a bike ride and stop for a drink afterwards. We live close to the harbour and biking is one of our favourite activities to do after work. So I decided to wear the skirt casually, and wear it with stripe and slingbacks both from Zara,  for a casual yet chic look. I had so many people asking me if I was a French girl and lots of them were taking pictures of my look. I was very flattered to say the least but I don’t think my hubby was comfortable with me being photographed. I guess he has to get used to dating a blogger.

If you ever plan on going for a vacay in South of France or have a theme party this look will never let you down. It doesn’t cost a lot and you will be wearing the skirt on repeat. I linked below few similar skirts since the one I am wearing is old and no longer available on the site. Hope you enjoyed the long weekend !
