The awards season is in full swing, and while you might not be attending the red carpet, that doesn’t mean you can’t throw a viewing party for your star friends. I get psyched each year for the movie awards. The glitzy, star-studded events give me the perfect excuse to throw a cocktail party, watch what the celebrities are wearing, eat, drink, and of course, laugh!
Below are a few tips and tricks to throw a celebration full of Hollywood glamour!
Steal the show with a standout menu
Being the Mediterranean, it’s no surprise that the food and cocktails are where my heart is. For an award-winning bash, build a menu that your guests will enjoy, such as a mix of festive platters and fabulous cocktails. I created these tuxedo-crafted crackers made with goat cheese and olives – very fitting for an award show viewing party. You can also serve popcorn, cupcakes, breadsticks with dips, cheese spread, freshly-cut vegetables and my favourite snack: dolmades.
Be sure to choose a good wine: I highly recommend the Pinot Grigio from Chloe Wine Collection. It’s clean, crisp, light on the nose, and refreshing with a subtle undertone of Meyer lemon. The grapes are from the Valdadige D.O.C. in Italy, located just north of Verona and extending into the mountain valleys. The wine goes well with a gourmet cheese platter, smoked salmon canape with mousse goat cheese, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, bread with beluga caviar or an exotic fruit platter.
Create a Signature Cocktail
A Chloe Wine cocktail would satisfy anyone’s taste. Go with something not too complicated, such as:
- A White Wine Spritzer (Chloe Pinot Grigio & sparkling water)
- The Glamour Girl Martini (Chloe Pinot Grigio, peach schnapps, cranberry juice)
- The Golden Night Cocktail (water, sugar, cardamom pods, pear brandy, Chloe Prosecco) – a perfect choice to toast the glitz and glamour of the awards.

Keep the party lively with fun games
What’s a party without a fun game? Have everyone cast their votes for their favourites of the night. Use helium balloons tied with a candy bar, and label them with different awards, such as Best Dressed, Best Hairstyle, and Best Makeup.
Chloe Wine is perfect for anyone looking to have an elegant wine experience – whether celebrating awards season at home or any other event. I can’t wait to enjoy it with my husband and friends throughout the year.
