Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park hotel

It has been almost a week since I’ve returned to Vancouver. Currently at the beach house with my husband and since it’s pouring rain outside, I decided to write about the stay I had with my sister at the Fairmount Chicago Millennium Park. As you might have seen from my IG stories, I travelled to Chicago for a little getaway with my sister. Fairmont Hotels are one of my preferred hotels when I travel across North America. The last stay I had with Fairmount was in Seatle when I attended the Cartier event. Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel didn’t disappoint.

The Fairmont hotel was located three blocks from Lake Michigan, and two blocks from Millennium Park and Grant Park. The Loop is Chicago’s business district, but it’s also home to the Theatre District, major cultural institutions, historical buildings, famous parks and North Michigan Avenue known for upscale shopping.

From the moment we arrived, the staff at the Fairmont Chicago went above and beyond to help us. We stayed a couple of nights, coming afternoon driving from Michigan. Upon the arrival, greeted by the friendly valley guy who quickly helped with luggage and gave us the direction to the concierge where we could check in. After check in we made it to our suite.

The view from the room

The room at Fairmont Chicago was decorated in earthy tones of brown, ivory, and tan, and a floral artwork over the bed. The seating couch beside the large window was the focal point. I sat and enjoyed my coffee and the beautiful view. The marble bathroom with a sperate toilet and shower and spacious enough for two.

As part of the stay, I had access to the CHICAGO FAIRMONT GOLD located on the 15th floor. The Gold Lounge offers morning breakfast and snacks throughout the day including beverages. The Fairmont Gold Lounge is as beautiful and inviting as the suites with a great ambiance and beautiful views. I actually love the lounge access because of snacks and cocktails and unlimited beverages you can have during the day. I highly recommend Fairmont Gold for the lounge access alone especially for families or business travellers to get something quick on the go.

From the moment we checked in to checking out and everything in between such as thoughtful welcome snacks in the hotel room, helping us with directions, landing us umbrellas on the go since it was raining the Fairmont Chicago goes behind every little detail and creates the most unforgettable stay.

A deepest thank you to the Fairmont Chicago for the most fantastic and memorable stay we had!
