Dressing up for the office doesn’t have to be boring. You can dress up for work and look just as fabulous as you would look going out with your gals. Today is all about the business attire to wear to your office.
Dressing up for work doesn’t have to be boring and less stylish. You can still wear your favourite pieces for your next meeting or to the office. When you dress for work, the one piece that you would wear on rotation would be a blazer. Although I must admit, I wear blazers almost every day and everywhere. I wear them to run errands with jeans and sneakers and also wear them to date night with a pair of my favourite heels and trousers or a skirt. To me, a blazer is a must-have piece in your wardrobe. Owning a few would give you many options to dress up for work or your meetings.
Being a stylist, I had a client who owned over 30 dresses and not one single blazer. I am not much of a dress fan. I wear dresses only on special occasions or summertime or vacay. Although dresses can be a good statement piece to wear to work if chosen the right one to finish the look, you always would need a good blazer. I never wore a dress to work without a blazer, even if the dress was work appropriate to wear. I have over ten blazers for every season. Most of them are neutrals, but I have a few that are fun colours. Last week I received a suit from Smythe, and I couldn’t resist but wear it to a meeting I had on the weekend. The blazer is part of a suit and sold out everywhere.
Since the suit is more for Spring and the trousers are too long for me, I only wore the blazer. Paired with a Zara skirt & boots and blouse from Mango, I think the outfit is a fun look and perfect to wear on Mondays. Happy Monday and have a fabulous week. Aurela x
