I always dreamt of being a Parisian. I tell my family and friends my body is in Vancouver but my soul in Paris. I’ve had a love affair with Parisian women since I was very young. From the simplicity and always well put-together looks —it is no wonder that everyone finds something in French fashion to adore. It’s effortless, chic and with a little bit of effort, anyone can pull it off.
Beanies and fedora hats are my favourite accessories to wear in the cold weather, but no hat collection is complete without a beret. Berets are a classic. Plus, they make you feel like a French girl. Who doesn’t want that, right? This particular beret from Urban Outfitters is a favourite of mine since my son gave it to me as a Christmas gift and literally can’t take it off. I had a coffee with my girls yesterday and felt so Parisian. On my way home, I stopped to get groceries and a couple of young girls asked me if I was a Parisian. They loved my beret and when I told them is a Xmas present from my son they couldn’t believe I was a mother that has a son with a great sense of style. Yes, I have the best son!
There are many outfits you can wear with a beret. A blazer, jeans, stripes and a beret it is my go-to French look. It is easy, comfy and très chic !!!!
PS, the dog isn’t mine, I just loved the dog so much that I asked the owner to let me take a picture with him! And if I have a dog in the future this will definitely be my dog walking outfit.
