Pink Suit & Stripes!

I have an obsession with stripes and hats. Both these pieces are classy and will never go out of style, no matter how long they have been in your closet. This outfit is proof that when you purchase the right stuff, you will use it over and over. Most of you think that I have lots a clothes in my closet, but that isn’t true. My closet is very limited, with classy pieces, and the basics. I bought this suit from Zara a year ago, and I have worn it repeatedly. I posted a blog with this suit while I was traveling to Europe last year here , and I still love it.

As you might have seen from Facebook or Instagram, my mother-in-law and I, went for lunch and while we were walking I spotted this fabulous fedora and asked her to go in so I can try it on. I was looking for a white fedora to use over the summer but everything I tried didn’t really suit me, or would be too big on me. Lucky for me, when I tried this hat, it suited me perfectly and it fit like a glove, and my mother-in-law insisted on buying it for me. I’ll admit I felt spoiled, even though it is not expensive, the thought that she wanted to buy it for me was priceless.

I can’t stress this enough, but you don’t need to spend a lot of money to look fashionable. All you need is few statement pieces and you are good to go. The trick is that you need to know how to mix and match with other pieces in your closet. I have worn this suit separated and together. I have worn the blazer with shorts, tank and flats for a day look and also with white jeans, heels and a tank for a night look.

A classy structured suit will always be a statement piece in your closet. I suggest a darker one for winter and a lighter colour for spring & summer.
