New Chapter – New Beginning!

2 years ago I started my current job as an estimator with no experience and no clue to what I was doing. It was a challenging job and frustrating at times but I learn it so quick that I managed the whole department. Last week, I gave my 2 weeks notice to pursue my passion. 

FINALLY, my dream has come true!  I just accepted an offer for my DREAM JOB! Starting in two weeks I will be the Fashion Buyer & Social Media Manager, for a local lifestyle concept store, where I will travel to —Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Paris and beyond—to curate a unique mix of products and trends that I can not wait to share with you. 

I have been working so hard for the past 20 years to make it happen and am happy, excited, nervous, and still digesting the news. Big job, huge responsibility, frequent travels and an awesome stylish boss lady to work for! 

I launched my blog for this exact job.  Everywhere I applied I got turned down because I had no retail experience even though I have a Supply Chain Management degree.
Where there’s a will there’s a way! I worked so hard for the past year that I neglected my love, my family and friends. I wanted to chase my dream because I love doing it. Thanks to my friend who referred me as a candidate for this position. Huge thank you to my love for supporting me, taking all the pictures for my blog and putting up with my nagging when he was just an amateur photographer. Because of my hubby I am finally able to land my dream job. Thank you to my boy, my gorgeous sisters, my mommy & mother-in-law who are bragging about me with pride, my beautiful girlfriends who supported me on this one month period of negotiating. ( you know who you are). Thank you to all of you who supported me on this journey, liked my pic on Instagram and FB.
