Luxe Glam at Scandal Gala !

During the past few weeks I spent almost every night online shopping. I was looking specifically for a dress to wear to the ‘Scandal Gala’ that was hosted at Terminal City Club last weekend. I finally found a dress that caught my attention; it was bold (for me), a little edgy, yet glamorous. Have you ever had that feeling where you are looking for the perfect item, you are unsuccessful so you stop and all of a sudden you find it?! That is exactly how I felt when I found this dress.

I must admit it is a bit ‘risky’ for my taste, but I wanted to go for something a little different. Maybe the scandal theme was the reason I wanted to try this luxe dress. The details on the dress are gorgeous; studded and Hollywood glam inspired. I didn’t want to overdo the whole outfit so I kept the accessories to a minimum; simple, low heel, strappy sandals, with a structure bag and my favorite gold watch.

With the holidays around the corner, this gorgeous Ilisa studded black dress is perfect to wear for upcoming holiday parties and New Years. Given I was nervous about trying something a bit outside of my style comfort, I was put at ease and felt much more confident after a few ladies stopped to compliment me about my dress and asked where I purchased it from. I am so happy I took a risk and tried something different! Do you sometimes take risks with your personal style?
