Hello Fashionistas,

Summer life is here and this is the best season to wear dresses!

It has been a crazy few weeks, as I been traveling and working at the same time. I love traveling just as much as I love fashion. At times I have to chose between a ticket to a city I’ve never been to, or get the new hot heels that I have been adoring from afar through fashion magazine shuffling or window shopping. To be honest, most of the time, travel wins my heart. I think traveling is the best medicine for your soul. I couldn’t ever be in one place for a long time without going somewhere, even if it is for one night. Boredom is a killer for your soul!

Somehow it happened that I traveled on back to back weekends. I wish that could be my normal life, but it is not. My boyfriend flew me to London to meet him, for just 3 days. Although it is quite a long way to go for the weekend, I couldn’t say no. Then, last weekend my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to New York for my 40th, since he knows I am crazy about that city. I wish I had brought the camera with me to shoot the outfits I wore on both trips, but I was traveling light and my boyfriend suggested it would be to difficult to carry the big camera. I have to invest in a small good camera for my upcoming trips.

This is my new decade and I couldn’t be more excited. At this age I am much more comfortable with myself than I was when I was in my 20’s.

This summer the Vancouver weather has been so hot and to escape the heat we come every weekend to the beach house to relax and reboot for the upcoming working week. I absolutely love the beach, is one of my favorite places to be.

Since I am going to the Mediterranean coast this July, I’ve been hunting for summer dresses and beach wear to pack for the trip. This dress I spotted at the Gap and thought would be the perfect summer dress to just walk around the city. This dress is playful, sexy without being overly revealing. It is so comfortable, chic and very flattering for petite women. In my opinion stripes are classic and the best pattern for summer days. Be careful when choosing stripes, it can make you look wide. Chose something that fits your body shape.
