In case you haven’t noticed, I’ll let you in a little secret: I’m the biggest Audrey Hepburn fan. I am absolutely in love with Audrey’s style and always have been. As a little girl, I watched her movies and thought she was so beautiful. Since she has been an icon my whole life, I’m channelling my inner Audrey Hepburn style in today’s look. Channelling Audrey’s style doesn’t require much effort; all you need is simple capsule pieces put together. Today, I wanted to show you an Audrey Hepburn inspired in all black, which I wore last week.
Her plain outfits and simple style just struck me. She was so good at taking a wardrobe staple and making it beautiful. Making women everywhere feel like they don’t need to go overboard with an outfit to be lovely. No matter how fashion evolves, Audrey’s effortlessly chic, simple, and elegant Parisian-inspired look remains a reference point to feel feminine and classy to me with all the trends each season.
I saw this suit from Zara (similar here) and absolutely loved it the minute I saw it. It reminded me of Dior Vintage suits and Audrey’s suit in the Sabrina movies. I have been looking for a similar suit for so long, and of course, I didn’t hesitate to buy it. Maybe it explains why it sold out within hours.
Last year this time of the year, I was in Paris for fashion week and, while goign through all the memories, made miss Paris so much. I dressed up and had a coffee on my own in my favourite Parisian coffee place in Vancouver before my meeting. I felt I was in Paris for a second! Sometimes we need to work with what is in front of us, and Vancouver is my Paris city for now until I go back. I wish you a fabulous weekend!
