Who says that just because you are a mommy you can no longer look chic and fashionable? With the mothers day around the corner, I decided to showcase this elegant chic outfit that I wore to dinner with my son. As much as I enjoy fashion, I love being a mom. My sweetheart is back home for the whole summer and to celebrate his return I wanted to take him out for dinner.
He is attending University back East in his second year. I love having him home since I see him only twice a year. Due to his request when I go out with him, I can not wear outfits that are too trendy. He likes me dressed elegant and chic, just like a mommy, as he would phrase it. Usually when I am out with my son, people think that he is my brother, instead of my son. I won’t deny it, I take it as a compliment but my son doesn’t feel at ease specially when the waiter hands him the bill. Those are the perks of having a child in your early 20’s 🙂
Opting for a classic and sophisticated look, I wore a white, lady like, ensemble. My son bought me this skirt as a Christmas gift from Zara since he knows how much I love that store. I paired the white suit (both from Zara) with this fabulous Versace shirt, that I spotted on Nordstrom rack, with my favorite heels. I’ll be honest, Versace clothes are a bit too flashy for my taste, but this shirt is absolutely gorgeous.
I am looking forward to mothers day, and to see what my sweetheart has planned, now that he is much older. I usually receive coffee in bed with fresh flowers. Yes, I did raise a gentleman!
