How to look polished for brunch in the city

Going for brunch over the weekend in the city is my favourite thing to do. It’s the perfect weekend outing after a long work week, to hang out with your girlfriends or your love. Last weekend was a beautiful day, and we don’t seem to have many of these weekends lately in Vancouver. To take advantage of the beautiful weather, my fiancee and I decided to take our bikes out and enjoy a lovely brunch at our favourite place. This place is close to our heart because we had our first date, which was fours years ago! Can’t believe time flies so quick.

Bacchus Restaurant is French-inspired and offers refined dining in Vancouver. Even though we decided to bike instead of walking, I didn’t want to wear a typical comfy outfit, jeans and a tee. I decided to go for a chic, effortless look that I would be comfortable riding the bike and look polished for brunch in my favourite place. Recently I received two beautiful silk garment from Sophie Cameron Davies, a British designer that creates elegant, refined pieces. I picked this beautiful midi summer skirt in pastel tones and a fitted silk shirt sky blue with lace detail in the back. I wore them together layered over with a linen jacket. If you follow me on Instagram, you know how obsessed I am with this blazer. I have worn it on repeat on many occasions.

This brunch outfit is for those girls who like to dress up feminine with a Parisian touch. Wearing this style will make you look and feel ladylike. For accessories, I choose to wear it with the hat, a crossbody bag and my pearl white heels.

What’s your favourite outfit to wear on the weekend? Let me know in the comments what you guys this of this look. Aurela x
