Crop Top & Stripes!

I love stripes ! A stripe is no longer a trend, is a style staple.  I started my love affair with stripes when I was a little girl and fell in love with Audrey Hepburn and, my major icon fashion crush, Coco Chanel. I’ve worn stripes all my adulthood and I can’t get enough of this look. It’s obvious from my previous posts that I’m obsessed with stripes which you can see here : {look 1, look 2, look 3, look 4 } See, now you know 🙂

The striped pencil skirt black/white  is a classic wardrobe piece and is a chic option to a plain pencil skirt. It gives you that classic, glamour vibe. I must admit, I took a risk for this outfit as it’s not my usual look that I would wear on my daily basis. When I go out with my boyfriend, at times I like to push a bit the sexy envelope through my style, just to make my boyfriend happy. I have to keep true to my style but like to put a twist on it, like this outfit. Normally I would pair the pencil skirt with a tee, button shirt or a turtleneck for that parisian vibe that I always am drawn too. This time,  I paired the skirt with a cropped turtleneck for a sexy  look. The fedora helped to polish the outfit for more of a glamour look.

The skirt is effortless and will translate from dinner date or an evening cocktail party if you pair it with a sheer button shirt. You can top the skirt with so many options such as a tee, the sweater top and the classic layer a trench coat.

Are you a risk taker when it comes to your personal style?
